The company is good.
Senior Document Controller (Former Employee) –  SingaporeSeptember 13, 2017
I have learned a lot from Foster Wheeler.
I have enjoyed working in AFW...met a lot of nice people and did alot of good projects.
Salary is good and the time is fair.

I started as nothing but end up in AFW with everything...confident and knowledge. They have molded me as a good document controller.

So, I would like to work again in AFW.

Fun & Challenging
Secretary (Current Employee) –  Jurong IslandJanuary 8, 2017
I learned and feel the challenge to manage 50 - 100 project team. Hardest part is work independently with no assistant. Working at site job is much more freedom and fun with less supervision. I'm fortunate to have corporating team working hand in hand.
Cons
Long Hours

Civil / Structural Engineer (Former Employee) –  SingaporeSeptember 28, 2016
A typical day would be organizing the work to be done on that day and coordinating with the various disciplines in order to accomplish the work that day.

Professional and very systematise company
Planning Engineer (Former Employee) –  Jurong island and TuasSeptember 5, 2016
Once you enter the company building, everyone is very friendly and will greet you a good day. All work to be done has a procedure/ documents that should be followed. The management (Project Control Director is very supportive at work and very professional in handling issues and concerning his department and the company. The obstacle that was faced during my stay in the company is to exceed the client's expectations. The most enjoyable part were the work timing is flexible and the office is near the mall so that employee will still enjoy choosing where they could eat or do shopping during lunch break.
Pros
Work timing is flexible

Heavy Lift Specialist (Current Employee) –  Shipyard Road, SingaporeJanuary 27, 2016
There is no team work probably because of various culture. Everyone especially Safety Department seems more interested to score point rather than providing guidance and assistance to sub contractors.

Company with good work life balance but poor advancement opportunities and job security
Piping Engineer (Current Employee) –  SingaporeJune 21, 2015
Good work life balance with flexi hours system and ot pay.
However, culture there is ot driven and does not promote productivity.
Job advancement opportunities are limited and management does not value employee growth.
Salary and benefits and average and job security is non existent as it largely depends on the projects available due to the industry it is in.
