Talked a lot about work life balance but it was fairly non-existent. I did learn a lot about research. Team management was excellent but agency management lacking. Culture used to be very fun & dynamic but morale is lacking due to multiple year layoffs. The hardest part of the job was enough time to think requests through. The best part of the job was interacting with my team members.

Integer is great for somebody first entering into the advertising agency word. You work with high-profile clients and are able to begin building your resume and portfolio. There are fun internal events to help break up the grind of the heavy workload.
One of the biggest drawbacks is that Integer is VERY cliquey. If you're not a part of the "in" group then you're viewed as disposable and almost looked down on. There is also a high turnover rate and a lack of job security. Compensation isn't great, you have a heavy workload and work long hours. Also, unless you're in a director position your ability to be creative is severely limited.
My experience was that Integer is overrated. Not a bad company to work for depending on where you're at in your career. Just don't overlook the glaring flaws.

I would not refer anyone to Integer due to the games that management plays. The HR department doesn't stand behind the employees, they just take the word of the manager without looking into the issue at hand.
When I was there, they hired a Controller to "clean house" and in this process, a lot of good people were let go for no other reason than the CFO didn't like them.

A typical day was troubleshooting network infrastructure and architecting new solutions. The environment was fun and the people very friendly. It was stressful like any other job but the team knows how to work hard and play hard. Fun atmosphere and great amenities.

The good stuff: All the typical work benefits. Pretty positive work environment (Co-workers are easy to work with and respect each other.) Lots of fun work sponsored activities scheduled routinely. Free snacks and coffee. Overall good morale.
The bad stuff: The work is not all that challenging. Unrealistically short production times are common. Creative ideas are too often disregarded for "safe" design. My boss has little respect for our opinions and is consistently disrespectful of his employees.

I've loved working here, even though the pay-scale (for my profession, at least) isn't quite up to industry standards. It's a fun place, and they truly care about their people — to the point that in the round of layoffs and position-closures that impacted me, they paid for job-search assistance for anyone who was willing to take them up on it.
They are, perhaps, not a good long-term job-prospect if you're being hired during an upswing in clients and associated work — As an ad-agency, the volatility of clients, work, etc., may well mean that if a client they acquired before one's starting to work here jumps ship, your position may well end up on the chopping-block.
That said, if the volatility is something you can live with, it's an *outstanding* place to be.

Majority of leadership has led at one place, Integer. Truly don't know anything but. So don't come here to learn from above or have any mentorship or gained experience from anywhere but Integer.
When a company grows and a common issue is, "They don't know that they don't know.", well that is a flaw.
Fine place to get some starter niche marketing knowledge on consumers. But again, just beware the level of experience leading the company. Again, many started (and will end) their management careers there, so not much variety of agency leadership can be expected.

The company used to be a fun place to work but has gotten too corporate. New Director with a "do things my way" attitude & if you do not fit in as their "type of employee" you're out the door. Will work you raw and the only thing you'll get is a thank you. No raises!!! Company going downhill. No longer a great place to work.
Fun culture. Plenty of PTO. One week paid at Christmas. Great managers, but did have frequent turnover in the finance department. Lots of activities and fun events each year. Great clients. Miller-Coors, Proctor & Gamble, Kellogg, Polaris to name a few. Interesting place to work.

Typical day at work was 9 hours equaling meetings, consulting, and designing. I learned as companies get larger they sometime lose site of their initial goal(s). This mainly applies to the management. Co-worker were Great! Finding the time to balance work vs personal. Most enjoyable was providing solutions to a problem, and interacting with others.
