Position too manual and administrative. Not very collaborative. My team is very siloed, and management does not know job duties. They expect more than what can be delivered

Big organization that needs to make some changes
Finance Management Analyst (Current Employee) –  Palo Alto, CAOctober 9, 2015
Professional organization that offers good work life balance and decent benefits package. A lot of opportunities for professional development, how ever too many levels of management, and to many obstacles for growth within organization. Does not promote internal talent. The interview process is very extensive, long (can take 3 month to a year) and very ineffective in terms of employee retention.
Pros
some benefits
Cons
Beurocratic

It could have just been my department but this is not a good place to work.
Financial Analyst (Former Employee) –  Stanford, CAAugust 1, 2013
The business manager pleased the faculty and those under her who kissed up. Most of my job involved sponsored research accounting. It has to be right or the department can loose the funding with the possibility of Stanford loosing all of its funding. I'm a very knowledgeable, dedicated worker but I don't play games. The working conditions were tense. After 23 years of service I was laid off. My last day at work was my best day.
