The culture is rather sleepy - your responsibility is fixed, defined and rather minimal. You do the same thing day in and day out. Job is stable and career progression is slow because turnover isn't high.

- workplace culture varies in every department. mine was a stiff, unfriendly, bureaucratic type of culture.
- employee's efficiency and productivity on the job is based upon whether you render extra office hours or not. totally wrong.
- oftentimes, you teach yourself to learn the job. though some colleagues may be willing to help but asking for help slows the team down. you are expected to deliver the "bestest" quality at a lesser amount of time.
- senior folks or those who have been with the company for far too long, are mostly (not all) are like spoiled babies by management and at times are condescending towards the newbies.
- there is professional growth but perhaps not for long term.
Pros
good location, learning on the job, some supportive colleagues, nice facilities (gym, canteen with cheap prices, heard there's now a cafe at the lobby)
Cons
difficult bosses, lots of bosses, stiff culture, etc.

The timing is quite flexible; you come in early, you leave early and vice versa. Although, this really depends on your supervisor. You are not really required to work overtime or on weekends unless needed. In which, time-off will be provided for you. Handling customers can be tough, but having helped them through their issues is rewarding. We also ensure that the mobile products that are released to the public are as bug-free as possible.

It was a contract job with SPH. There were many phone calls in a day. I learnt to work in a very fast pace environment and colleagues helped one another should there be doubts. Team work is particular important and the working hours are pretty long where one need to work half day on Saturday too. Solving the problems in terms of hard copies deliveries or internet usage for subscribers.
