Temporary Staff (Former Employee) – Farrer Park – August 23, 2018
I learnt lots from this Association as the person I was attached with was patient, humble helpful and mindful. There is always celebrations held and the working environment is conducive. There are several food centres around hence buying food for lunch is never tough. The only difficulty is that there is shortage of staff so at times the work load does get abit too much.
Excellent team, rewarding work, most enjoyable part of the job was making the difference in someone's life. Enablement and empowerment was the mantra for our casework.
Working for the benefit of the community is very fulfilling. Job challenge was to support students and their families to achieve personal success and thereby uplift the social status of the community.
Reaching out to the most needy in the community to participate in services provided was most challenging part of the job.
The environment in the office is always bright which gave positive energy to work. The day was started with greetings with co-workers. Discussed the number of pending work that needed to complete with Senior Manager and follow-up matters. Meeting staff who has problems with their superiors and counsel them by giving moral support.
The weekly HR updates to the Senior Management who includes CEO and Chief Operating Officers need to submitted. This is to ensure the HR runs smoothly and moving towards improvement.
The most hardest part of the job is follow-up and delay in making decision. Sometimes, its difficult to contact the person-in-charge for any particular task due to absence of the person. That delays the completion of the job.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the environment of the office. Listening to music and sharing jokes creates a happy space among the co-workers.
Pros
Great benefits, good welfare
Cons
Long meeting hours, less training hours and budget
