Usually no work life balance during peak periods. Company benefits had been good but reduced over the years. Remuneration increased fast over the years though.

PwC has a friendly working and coaching culture. It is a good place for people to learn about the different businesses. It is also a good place for people to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The learning curve is steep as we often have work with tight deadlines and challenging tasks.

Productive and great time there as an Intern
Risk Assurance Vacation Trainee (Former Employee) –  SingaporeJuly 10, 2017
The typical day at work starts at 8.30 but we interns were already in the office at 8 to get the best seats (hotdesking office space). I learnt to do my work quickly and to gain trust from seniors, I had to show that I could manage what was on my plate. Depending on how you see it, I saw it as fortunately, I was allowed to be exposed to more tasks that was out of my scope of work while I was there. It was the hardest yet most enjoyable part when you get to accomplish a challenging task.
Pros
OT claims for interns, collegiate work culture
Cons
long hours

A workplace with steep learning curve
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) –  SingaporeJune 15, 2017
- Learned a lot from this company through classroom trainings provided as well as on the job training and coaching from the superiors.

- Hardest part of the job is maintaining a work life balance due to the nature of this job (i.e. with tight deadlines and multiple review hierarchies)

High performing environment with young working population
Audit Manager (Current Employee) –  Central Business DistrictJanuary 4, 2017
The nature of the job allows interaction with multiple clients and teams, which compared to a corporate function, where you typically work with the same team, is more interactive and builds better interpersonal relationship.

Having to work with different teams also requires investment in coaching to ensure teams delivers quality output.

Time and project management is an essential skill set with the multiple assignments and deadlines going on at once which adds up to the long working hours as part of the job nature.
Pros
fast progression and wide exposure and roles available within the company
Cons
Long hours and multiple deadlines

It could be quite a fun place to work
Audit Associate (Current Employee) –  Raffles PlaceOctober 31, 2016
Being given chance to work on different type of engagements. Coaching environment is not bad only if it is not peak period. Some managers are helpful to coach but some are not, leaving to the individual subordinates to work and errors are anticipated.
Pros
team bonding
Cons
long hours
