Customer Service (Former Employee) – Bristol, TN – March 20, 2018
I enjoyed working for Lowe's. It was a fun and positive work environment and the manager's were supportive and invested in their employee's. The hardest part of the job was the pay rate was low and the enjoyable part of the job was the team work in helping my fellow co-worker's and the customers.
Customer Service Associate (Current Employee) – Brunswick, GA – March 19, 2018
Certain days are slower than others, however Lowes is a place for retired people to work. IT's only part time and it's very slow. I'm in customer service and it gets very boring just standing around waiting for customers.
Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) – Aiken, SC – March 19, 2018
The management staff was easy to talk to. I enjoyed the environment to work in, I enjoyed helping the customers with their needs and answering their questions, The hardest part was being short staffed.
Customer Service Associate - Paint (Current Employee) – Visalia, CA – March 19, 2018
Every day I interact with customers and am able to utilize my customer service skills. The culture of the company is a positive one. Everyone is given the opportunity to advance within the organization if it's something they want to do.
Paint CSA/ RVR Mentor (Current Employee) – Menifee, CA – March 18, 2018
They help me greatly. Whenever I ask for something they do what they can do which usually is exactly what I ask for. I 'll e them like a family. My co-workers are knowledgeable and fun! They are great with customers. Most of them. They are eager to learn, most of them contribute.
It was okay but most employees have poor work ethic
Customer Service Associate (Former Employee) – West Bridgewater, MA – March 18, 2018
As an employee in the pain department/windows&walls I found myself doing a great deal of work which I enjoyed. This work kept me busy and allowed for the shift to go by quickly. This work though was only due to me always covering others' departments since we were always understaffed. Even when the staffing was adequate many of the employees cared little about the job, leaving much of the work up to me. Great place to work if you enjoy the job but expect to be doing far more than you should be expected to based on your employment. This all also goes for my time spent in hardware&tools.
Customer Service Associate (Former Employee) – Virginia Beach, VA – March 18, 2018
I did enjoy working for the first couple of years however, management system is terrible. To much favoritism and back stabing on the job and no confidentiality. I enjoy meeting New and old customers however, companies need to stop ✋✋saying the customer is always right. That is definitely not the case at Lowe's. Customers were nasty and rude especially the military customers and their families. Don't get me wrong we had more nice military customers than rude and nasty. However, Corporate and management don't care about there employees and they believed whatever they say right or wrong.
I wanted to be much clearer picture. Lowe's are definitely for the saying customers are always correct. No matter if they are wrong, they always in Lowe's eyes. This makes the associate look and in the eyes of the customers.
Job Work/Life Balance
Customer Service (Former Employee) – Sebring, FL – March 17, 2018
Never enough help to do what needs to be done. It just roles over to the next day. Or you dread your days off because it's going to be there when you come back just worse.
Customer Service Associate (Former Employee) – Bethlehem, PA – March 15, 2018
When I was hired, I was hired as seasonal, but they told me they would have a spot for me at the end of the season. The end of the season came and I was let go. I left a steady job to work at Lowe's and I was screwed over.
great company but poor human resource department and morale at this location
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Show Low, AZ – March 14, 2018
Lowes has a great deal to offer to their employees and seemingly is a great company but this particular store had very low morale and poor human resource department so it was not a pleasant working environment.
