Events Executive (Current Employee) – Central Business District – September 11, 2018
There was never a day without little work, and have adopted a never-say-die attitude. Working in a team, I have learned how important teamwork can be and it brings the best out of me when I least expect myself to be at difficult times. With multiple events running concurrently, it enabled me to better manage my time. What really keeps me going, it's 100% the people around me.
Colleagues are friendly and able to work well with

You'll work with people who constantly complain about no work-life balance and want to resign but they are the same individuals that perpetuate the 'overtime' culture. Expect working past midnight daily to meet expectation of managers and seniors alike. At times, unnecessary work is done that leads to working overtime. The work place thrive of inefficiency and its something you have to live with, working in this industry.
Young and vibrant colleagues since Big 4 traditionally recruits fresh university graduates every year. Wide exposure to clients in different industry, good mentorship from senior and managers and adequate, regular professional and personal training. Ok working place. However, partners in my unit are not too involved in marketing and business development. This work is unreasonably pushed to the next lower levels with the expectation that technical and compliance work are also performed by these staff at the same time.

Assistant Manager (Current Employee) – Raffles – January 30, 2018
Being an external auditor is like having an examination each and everyday. There are always audit and technical related issues to be resolve between engagement team and clients. The most enjoyable part of the job is when you have successfully resolved an issue and there is appreciation from your superiors which makes you proud of yourself. The most hardest part of the job includes long working hours and also never ending deadlines to be met.
Senior Associate (Former Employee) – Singapore – January 21, 2018
A typical day is difficult to describe since the work at KPMG is very dynamic and never the same. On most days you can tear up your to-do list by 10 because the day goes in so many different directions. This is what makes the job so enjoyable and the worst aspect of it at the same time
Working at KPMG gives us the opportunity to work with different clients from different industries, collaboratively with our local and global teams. There are always new things to experience and learn from.
The management team here are always supportive, both in the aspects of our career, as well as our personal growth.

Great peers as people enter the firm in big batches and has many company activities. However, hours are long and it can get draining during the peak seasons
