Full-time Grab Driver (Current Employee) –  Sin MingOctober 14, 2019
Flexible timing. Own time own target. Good incentive packages and system improved. Need to work on the support hotline as customer service officers are rather rude.

While working at Grab, I made some good friends for life. The staff benefits were good and the working environment was pleasant and comfortable. I also worked with an excellent manager who led his team very well.

Chauffeur (Current Employee) –  SingaporeJune 12, 2019
It is a long working hour to achieve higher salary and grab will not provide CPF to driver. Also it is less incentive even plus it is a high risk for health after long hour driving.

Commission deduction is too high.
Driving Partner (Part Time) (Current Employee) –  SingaporeSeptember 29, 2018
As a driving partner, all expenses are bore by us. 20% are deducted from all fares, which i think its a bit too high. 10% is an ideal amount. Fares are quite low at times. It does not justify the distance traveled and the waiting time for pax. In a business sense, cost is just too high to sustain driving.
Pros
Nil
Cons
High commission deduction

Work at Own Time and Pace
Driver (Private) (Former Employee) –  SingaporeSeptember 21, 2018
Routined lifestyle during weekdays. 8 to 10 hours spent outdoor, daily on average.

The positives gained are that I got to broaden my knowledge of Singapore roads. Improved on my social network as the opportunity is there.

Grab being a ride-hailing service application for users and through means of technology, it manages itself pretty well.
Staff are attentive and is there to provide assistance for ground personnel at any time. As long as they fulfill our needs, I believe generally, driver are happy.

Having to deal with "ghost" passengers. Off days are limited since not income to generate for sick and off day.

I am happy when I am doing something at my own pace and time. Benefits my family
Pros
Having to work at own time and pace.
Cons
Long hours, no income for no work, no show passengers, traffic jams

Senior Payment Specialist (Current Employee) –  Sin MingDecember 7, 2017
Not a bad place to work at for a startup. Like all startups, processes are still very manual. But there have definitely been improvements.

Poor management and work culture resulting in a high turnover rate.
Pros
Above average pay and good benifits.
Cons
No recognition, no advancement and growth.

Appearances are deceiving
Business Operations (Current Employee) –  Cecil StreetJuly 30, 2017
Hiring growth is emphasized but mainly due to unrevealed turnover across all levels and all areas of the company. Salary and benefits are far below comparable companies with similar valuation levels. The only job advancement / development does not exist unless you believe job rotation is the only defining characteristic. Management does not provide any resource toward external training or career investment so you are on your own!

Grab has also evolved from start-up to a small corporation so expect more bureaucracy across all the areas of the business.

Grab also hires executives with personal connections across senior levels so transparent is also called into question as well.
Pros
Monthly Allowance Grab rides
Cons
Inconsistent executive talent and insider family run culture

A new start-up with fast pace working environment
Acquisition Specialist (Current Employee) –  Sin MingFebruary 11, 2017
Still loves working in current company as colleagues and superiors are nice. Not thinking of resigning anytime soon as I am already comfortable with the job and aiming to go up the ladder if given the chance to. As of now, the only setback is the salary as the commission that is being offered is not satisfactory enough hence the reason of why i am looking for a part-time job.
Pros
A monthly taxi allowance cap at $400+
Cons
Low commission
