Audit Senior (Current Employee) – Singapore – February 7, 2020
Am audit career is a good career pathway for someone who wants to go on to be an audit partner or financial controller as it allows you to review and learn about various types of companies in a short span of time which is not experienced elsewhere in other non-audit firms i.e commercial companies. You pay for the experience with overtime and imbalanced work-life situation.
Tax Intern (Current Employee) – Singapore – December 22, 2019
A competitive workplace, but offers great exposure to the tax services industry. I will definitely recommend this place for internship, even though the learning curve can be steep, it is worth the experience because you get to learn a lot more than you would expect.
EY generally has Partners and Managers that cares for the staff and will encourage us to enjoy our work life and take interest in our career development. EY also nurtures and trains us to be independent, professional with highest regards for integrity in out performance and work.
Great starting ground for fresh grads as they spend the time and effort to teach you from scratch. You can learn many work skills and make great colleagues but career progression can plateau after some years.

The team is made up of intelligent, caring individuals so there is a collegiate atmosphere. As many of the new jobs given by clients have few precedents, you will need to have solid valuation fundamentals to be able to do well.
As an intern, you just do whatever jobs the seniors assign you. Sometimes they can be interesting, like sitting in on big important meetings with clients. But other times, your manager can ask you to do relatively mundane task.
