Technical Specialist (Former Employee) – Shenton Way – November 7, 2018
Very corporate culture. Rigid and stiff. Back office departments are the complete opposite to other business making departments. Life is slow and not motivating. Progression revolve around favouritism.
Life is busy in Deloitte, we work hard and play hard. As much as the workload is heavy there are also many interesting activities that the firm organize to ensure that staff not only work but also can have fun. But the priority will always be the office job - meeting deadlines one after another.
Audit peak boosters, opportunity to climb up the ladder, stable job
I had excellent superiors which worked as hard as they expected me to work. The engagements I was in had fantastic comraderie and culture and the senior manager in charge of my engagement treated us like humans even though the hours worked by the engagement team were by far the highest in the entire department. The team dynamics made it a very pleasant experience in spite of the hours. I still keep in touch with my team mates.
Analyst (Current Employee) – Shenton Way – February 18, 2018
Your experience in Deloitte Consulting depends on your bosses. You can either learn a lot or very little. Also, be prepared for miserable salary. The partners are not very generous, and they will be the ones earning everything.
Typical day at work involves replying to emails and very fast turnaround at the behest of the manager in charge. Working environment is very hierarchical and a lot of time is spent pleasing people who are not appreciative of your work even though you sweat your guts till 4am on a daily basis during peak. Progression and promotion is more or less guaranteed if you do not offend people responsible for your promotion (i.e. your bosses).
I was at Deloitte for over 16 years. I sized many opportunities to work on assignments many of which lead to overseas travel and ultimately an overseas assignment for 2+ years. The rewards were huge and I enjoyed my time immensely.

Deloitte provides an environment of opportunities and development. Given the volume of work, taking initiative to improve is important. Awesome colleagues and managers across the teams and internationally!
Audit Senior (Current Employee) – Singapore – July 5, 2017
A good place to start the audit career for accounting graduates. Steep learning curve and manage to learn about technical knowledge from seniors and managers. Manage to know lots of friends. Generally a good place to work.
