IT toxic work environment
IT Executive (Current Employee) –  SingaporeOctober 16, 2018
at higher senior IT levels, the place becomes extremely toxic, no room to breath, management, and managers are weirdos, nothing much to learn from this place, you end up being a robot. I have failed to find anyone that likes to socialize or even a simple good morning or even say thanks. people communicate with each other in IT like robots, honestly, this is the worst place I've ever seen.

nothing to enjoy
Pros
nothing
Cons
long hours, toxic, many people clammed like sardines

great organization , average pay , all essential tools are provided for you to work effectively.

Job is very secure. However, do not expect bonus to be extravaganza.

Management is bad
Human Resource Associate (Intern) (Former Employee) –  RafflesJanuary 25, 2018
Effort was not recognized and the culture is bad. Some colleagues are unfriendly as they tend to badmouth you to the supervisor. Supervisor did not verify the situation and believe whatever the colleague said and performance was rated badly.

Disorganised organisation
Wealth Management Front Desk (Former Employee) –  Raffles PlaceMarch 2, 2015
You can definitely achieve work life balance because no one really cares. Its compensation scheme goes against industry norms and good performance is not recognised by equitable compensation.
Pros
good work life balance
Cons
Poor processes, bad management and terribly pay

Analyst (Current Employee) –  SingaporeMarch 20, 2017
Good for stable job. Good work life balance, flat organization structure. Mostly open door policy with management. Generally decent place to work. Would recommend if that's what you're looking for.

Good work life balance - weak management
Associate Business Analyst (Former Employee) –  SingaporeOctober 20, 2014
At BNP Paribas, I had a very good work life balance where importance was given to your personal life after work. But what I felt was that the senior management lacked conviction and was not able to be make hard decisions. Which is why the bank has been behind other banks in terms of technology.
Pros
Good Work Life Balance
Cons
Weak Management

Good work life balance
Product Executive (Current Employee) –  Raffles PlaceAugust 10, 2017
It's a fun place where you are free to learn as much as you want at your own pace. Just be sure to complete what you need to do and do it well.

European banks are generally much less 'workaholic' and there is emphasis on work life balance.

Job is repetitive
Remittance Analyst (Former Employee) –  SingaporeAugust 1, 2017
Job is repetitive and relatively mundane. A lot of specialization so there is little lateral growth potential. However I would say an average workplace to be in.

Great place to pick up portable skills at your own pace
Global Trade Reporting Officer (Current Employee) –  SingaporeSeptember 27, 2017
Hardest part of the job is that the IT support is not enough, therefore we have to learn portable skills to gap the shortfall, which is good in another sense.
